Go Wit The Flow
chilling 2:
Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz feat. Usher - Lovers & Friends

In chronological order or otherwise (yep that did not make any logical sense whatsoever), this was how i invested my time on this fun in a funny sorta way Monday:

1] wore funky shades in the car
>> at a time when there "aint no sunshine".
2] bopped my head and sang to my heart's content
>> to the blasting hip-hop music in the car.
3] heard my grandma give a long, gratifying fart on the hospital bed.
4] laughed like a cow gone mad after that.
5] went to 3 different coffeeshops to find chapatees but to no avail.
6] unwillingly littered
>> shut up. do not judge me
7] became a new family member in this family of friendly phillipinos.
8] served drinks to never-ending visitors.
9] had the shock of my life when Marina came to my house.
10] played online pool wit Sue.
11] scolded Sue for not seeing the doctor.
12] had Sue to teach me how to chat on MIRC
>> yeah im a virgin IRC user...so please fuck me good
13] exposed Khairin to Urban music culture.
14] obsessed about ridiculous things.
15] robbed Khairin of her sanity wit my obsessions :)
16] complained abt my stupid timetable wit its "no free days".
17] made a "so what" list to assuage my frustration.
18] saw a possible future in-law.
19] exploited the term "deng deng".
20] :)

MassCommerz Raya Outing 2004
chilling 2:
2pac - Still Ballin'

Sometimes you consciously or unconsciously have your underlying feelings and thoughts naturally under control because you know better than to entertain such self-created absurdities. That was the personal case for me UNTIL i logged on to MSN and had a certain conversation wit a particular someone. The crucial question to be asked is should i entertain this dangerous, highly unnecessary yet undeniably present emotions in my "lonely hunter"?

Aniways the first ever "Raya Outing for fellow malay Mass Commers" that commenced yesterday was pretty interesting in a positive way i must say. hahaha...i'll just post this snapshot at my crib because a picture says a thousand words and i do not have the capacity to type much tonight. Yeah u can say "WTF is up wit arman's hair?" a thousand times too and i'll remain silent because i'm clueless myself as to what it evolved into. Which is why i just had a haircut recently :P ENJOY!

Idola Singapura
chilling 2:
Al Green - Let's Stay Together

What i am about to proclaim on public domain next is rather abasing and might possible be degrading my manlihood. However...i am gonna muster whatever courage and remaining dignity that still resides within me and do it aniways. "At least i have the balls to say it"-that is the pysche i'm adopting to assuage my anxiety. Arghhh what the hell. Here goes. *kwang kwang kwang* I've been updating myself wit the progress of some of my favourite Singapore Idol hopefuls by watching videos of their past performances on SI's official website. *shocked gasps* There scrutinised me all you want until you feel gratified. My name according to some dumb website does mean "a wanted desire" aniways so it tallies up. hahahaha. Stupendously i am not even feeling the teeniest bit mortified because i am a young man comfortable in my own skin and i'm not gay (no offence whatsoever to any homosexuals out there). wahahahaha what the hell.

Yes yes i can actually hear Tea telling me i am more gloriously fanatical than a girl :P i prefer not to choose the term "fanatical" on the contrary. i am simply feasting my eyes & ears by watching all these videos because i missed out on an entire month of SI as i had to carry out my nightly prayers during the fasting month. muahaha. Aniways check this out fellow dudes and dudettes! The official SI website is stupeyingly marvellous! Go to the "Videos/Photos" section and watch any video of your choice. They even have video performances by semi-finalists such as my hot favourite Nana and whoever else have you. The best part for me personally is that the videos take a very short period of time to finish up their buffering. :)

So i finally caught performances that i did not catch, particularly those by Nana, that shit-annoying girl Beverly, fellow mass commer Daphne Khoo & r&b crooner Taufik Batisah. Nana could have really kicked some serious SI butt if she had made it into the final 12 but
unfortunately dumbass Singaporeans (myself included) did not call up & vote for her. Possessing the most powerful, soulful and spunky voice amongst the entire group of hopefuls, she had the distinct possibility of making it really big. Well so much for that. I then watched Beverly's performances and i think she's really kinda good. She screwed up "Betcha By Golly Wow" really badly though. But it was her drama-mama-ness and never ceasing flowing tears that really puts you off. You cannot help but feel agitated and have that underlying desire to slap her silly. Supplementary to that, even though she has good vocal chords, her singing/performances lack honesty. In the words of idol judges around the world: she has no connectivity wit the audiences. She sings for the sake of prooving the fact she can sing and probably there's nothing more to it. So it is good she got out early.

Daphne Khoo. Awwww Daphne Khoo. People either "hardcore hate that bitch wit the annoying act-cute voice" or "i love her unique voice so much". i've got nothing but love for this girl and i'm in the latter category of people. i think her best performance was that of "Crazy Little Thing called Love". The song suited the tone of her voice freaking well don't you think? *visualising a heated debate over the statement i just made between the 2 categories of people i mentioned*
hahahaha. But i think the most heartfelt performances were that of "You Gotta Be" and especially "I Am Your Angel". Though vocally not spectacular on these 2 songs, you can still hear her honest earnesty singing it :) But sadly the 4th hopeful to be eliminated boo hoo :(

Well before i end my ridiculously long entry on Singapore Idol *Arman what the hell were you thinking you stupid bitch??!!!*, i want to say: VOTE FOR TAUFIK to be your Singapore Idol! Me, mama, grandpa and uncles are showing our support for seorang anak melayu yang minat r&b and can really sing, just like me! hahaha go fuck urself dude. hahaha....

First Day of Aidilfitri 2004
chilling 2:
LL Cool J - Hush

Prior Warning:
Before you, fellow readers of this particular blog of mine [if any even exists to begin wit], engage yourself in another so-called tasteful reading session let me issue a highly-neccessary notification beforehand: This blog entry will be an inevitably lenghty one. It is definitely not wit the intention to bore you to a slow tormented death wit the happenings in my life (though i wonder why else you would frequent your visit to this blog if not for that very objective. Again constantly doubtful if any of you even exist to begin wit) but because 10 or 20 years down the road i would like to read up the archives of www.victim-of-repression.blogspot.com, chance upon the entry entitled "First Day of Aidilfitri 2004" and vividly recall the happiness i felt on that joyous, prodigious occasion :)

1st House - Grandma's House [nyai]
As it has always been and hopefully will always be year after year, Nyai's (mama's side) house is the first house we visited on Aidilfitri. Before i continue i simply have to say that, among all the relatives i visit every single freaking year, i find the most genuine happiness when i am at my grandma's house. Reason for this factual exclamation: That is where everyone i hold oh-so-dear to my heart will always be on the morning of Aidilfitri, where i find joy in the presence of "real blood", where i blend in naturally the way chameleons blend in wit their surroundings, where i belong, where i...okok i'll continue.

My eyes were first greeted wit the sight of so-called new people...haha i will not elaborate. My ears first heard the words "Arman kudutnyeeee / Arman is soooo skinny!" My skin first felt my grandma's tight embrace. Almost as immediately as i stepped into the house she began crying the contents of her heart out and hugged me oh-so-dear-sweet-God-tightly i could barely move my cheek away from hers. Now tell me that is not the most stupendous of ways to be welcomed to a person's home and i will slap you silly wit a piece of decomposing fish.

The fact that some people shared such monstrous animosity for each other in the past and yet for some beautiful reason brushed it off away like some speck of dust to almost non-existence was, to me. remarkable. Yeah they were a bunch of innocent kids who did no sin to no one. Maybe, just maybe some form of emotional attachment will develop wit plenty and plenty and plenty and plenty of time. But nonetheless my animaniac cousins were sorely missed and not having them around was equivalent to not having a christmas tree on christmas.

The personal highlight of the entire visit was definitely when my grandma put me on the spot. i am someone who feels very vulnerable, uncomfortable and emotionally-naked when it comes to REALLY seeking forgiveness from my flesh & blood. Therefore i choose not to and simply accept the green packet filled wit money which i would eventually spend on shopping. But this year my grandma made sure i got my money the painfully-ackward way. She called me to come to her offering money. We both took each other's hand and she did not let go. Panic was rushing within me at an insane speed of 123456789km/h. The thought of having to get all emotional and seeking forgiveness from my grandma infront of EVERYONE could have stop my weak heart from ever beating again. She just DID NOT WANT TO LET GO OF MY HAND BOO-HOO. i continously looked back in a silent plea for help. But i knew i could not escape this torment so wit every ounce of pride and courage i could call upon from within i actually seeked for forgiveness. Mannn you should have listened to my voice and looked at the manic expression on my face and personally understand how uncomfortable i was feeling. My brother, that idiot of a fat ass baboon, was laughing like a moron looking at his distressed brother, that stupid piece of decomposing cow dung. blearghhh...but at least now me and my grandma have forgiven each other. Now ain't that beautiful???

(Guess what dear faithful readers. After an exhaustive hour of summarising the events that took place at the 1/10th house, i realise i do not have the capacity to repeat the same procedure for the next 9 houses. i guess i just have to reminisce about the first day of Aidilfitri 2004 the old-fashioned way: digging my memory and probably screw it really bad resulting in amnesia. Yes i AM crapping now. Therefore i will leave you wit these words to compensate for the broken promise -so much for the prior warning- The first day of Aidilfitri was a definitely energy-draining day filled wit happiness, manic laughter, deliciously fattening food and beverages and more happiness and manic laughter. I would also like to tell you that i'm freaking filthy rich now. hahahahaha)

incarceration
feeling the lyrics 2:
Gavin Degraw - I Don't Wanna Be

First and foremost i am sick and tired of people who gives me attitude, be it subdued or otherwise, because they do not like hip-hop so therefore they automatically need to radiate some bad vibe towards me because i love listening to it. To begin wit, the fact that you actually have to go as far as to hate hip-hop is bloody annoying but hey that's alright because everyone is their own entity and they are given the prerogative to have their own musical preferences. i am not a petty asshole who will start developing warped thoughts of murdering you because you hate hip-hop, BUT I WILL START DOING SO AND POSSIBLY MATERIALISE THOSE THOUGHTS INTO REALITY if you display/verbalise your hardcore dislike wit a touch of sarcasm to your opinions. You do not feel hip-hop then that's fine. Remember it is also my prerogative to have my own musical preference. :)

Wit whatever i have mentioned so far in consideration i hope with every pounding beat of my heart that UK Garage remains MOSTLY a solid sound of the underground and NEVER reach mainstream status. i have develop a fixation for UK Garage music that can rival pinkharma's obssession wit Gilmore Girls. It will be an absolute waste if people start digging it and an epidemic of UK-garage-liking-pousers starts breaking out. PLEASE...do not spoil my love for UK garage the way you stupid pousers spoilt hip-hop for me...

Morning of Aidilfitri
reminiscing about:
Takbir Hari Raya

What a prodigious morning it has proved to be so far. The blissful morning began wit a nice warm shower to perk me up to full consciousness. After solat Subuh my family made our way to Masjid Annur for the annual Hari Raya prayers. Ambling was definitely out of the question because past experiences substantiated the known fact that the mosque is rapidly congested wit fellow members of Islam who wish to do their Hari Raya prayers there. We made our arrival at about 6am and as predicted, the praying premise was already almost fully-packed wit people. The heavenly Takbir Aidilfitri was already in procession. Fortunately papa & i were able to find a comfortable spot for ourselves at the back row where we prayed before eventually settling down to join along in the Takbir. One cannot even begin to articulate the majesty of giving your heart, mind & soul to the Takbir. The emotions that you go through internally really is celestial & comforting. Nonetheless i am only human and after 1 and a 1/2 hours of being in a stationary contorted position & unceasingly verbalising the same thing over & over again till the early break of dawn, i got a little nauseas to say the very least. At about 7.30am the Hari Raya prayers commenced, during which point in time to say that the mosque was congested wit people was a definite understatement. The Hari Raya kutbah then followed, and the end of the religious preachings marked the end of the morning spent at the mosque. Currently i am blogging to kill some anxiety-filled time before i start getting ready to visit relatives at ungodly places in Singapore. hahaha...till then...

Sugababes - Caught In A Moment

Due to the lack of a better adjective to describe how my day went today...and primarily because i personally find simple words so much more efficient in expressing myself...and also because i am too fatiqued after an energy-draining day therefore i do not have the capacity to describe in full details or even summarise the events that took place, i would like to say that today was awesome! :)

box of memories
chilling 2:
3 of a Kind - Baby Cakes

Today was a day meant for reminiscing about the past...a day spent ambling down memory lane. I was arranging the contents of a particular drawer in my room and i realised it was congested with personal items such as neoprints taken wit some of my dearest homiez, birthday cards, special letters & what have you. Instead of concentrating my effort on tidying up the spectacular self-made mess i invested the precious time going through each individual item. And boy am i glad i got myself preoccupied because going through all those meaningful belongings made me realise JUST HOW SPECIAL MY FRIENDS ARE & HOW I MISS THEM SOOO!

I emptied a white envelope and multitudes of neoprints came pouring out. Majority of the neoprints were taken wit my affectionately missed members of M.A.S.H. Hehehe i can vividly recall that one of the neoprint set was taken @ Heerens after celebrating saidah's birthday by checking out preserved carcasses and aborted babies @ S'pore Expo. hahaha. We took 4 freaking set of neoprints because we just had to perfect our million-dollar smiles and retarded poses. What can i say? We are vain perfectionists! muahaha! Eh gua di sini banyak rindu same lu semua! Are we going to the esplanade to celebrate the belated birthdays of all the October babies??? (especially mine in particular *wink2* muahaha). Aniways all the best for your O Levels aight! The other sets of neoprints were taken wit a bunch of good old friends from my batch, in particular Lina, Adnan & Azim and not to forget my animaniac cousins. Muahaha we are such artistic snapshot poseurs!

Among all my friends Wendy has undeniably sent me the most number of letters, from stupendously self-designed birthday cards, christmas cards (remember when i was on holiday in Sydney Wen? hehehe) to that very special graduation letter. I read & re-read every single heartfelt word & i remember just what a special friendship we had. Wendayyyy! Me miss you! :) Cik Amin's letter on the other hand made me realise just how lucky i am to have a uncle who watches over my back. Damn i need 2 write one to him a.s.a.p!!!

Well dear homiez! All these special possessions have been specially kept in a metallic Ikea box. hahaha. Now i have my very own official Box of Memories!!! Some of you may think it's fucking gay? Go get a stick & shove it up ur ass. At least i have memories to cherish. :)

unleashing the Debonaire within:
through the eyes of a child

Good Morning Sunshines! On this prodigious Tuesday morning all negativity that once resided within me have been delicately assuaged, leaving behind nothing but a vessel of positive emotional energy that proves to be so overwhelming a scar in the form of a stupendous smile appears on my face :) This life which i once refered to as condemned monstrosity now looks like a pathway to a world congested wit opportunities and optimism. I turn my head towards the open window and my weary eyes are greeted by the sight of the golden sun shining brightly up in the heavens, where the celestial baby-blue sky is decorated intricately wit patches of fluffy white clouds moving tranquilly like pirate ships sailing on the open ocean. Now my dear friends. Allow all the paralysing melancholy that has been nothing but internal torment to profuse delicately out of you as my words weave this scenery of complete magnificence in your mind.

Happy Sweet 17th Birthday
Ginger 1!

As promised here is a blog entry dedicated to a great great great poly classmate of mine WeiShan...or who the rest of the "notorious" (haha) Ging Gang would address as Ginger 1. Even though you cannot surpass my a.k.a Ginger 2's coolness, you are still nontheless a funky root to hang out wit.

Some of my personal birthday wishes for you are:
1) May all the vehicles stop their motion when you cross the road because i assure you i will leave you alone unconscious by the roadside if you faint from hypertension.

2) May time fast-forward to a year later so that you will be braces-free & quit complaining abt chicken getting stuck to your teeth.

3) Find another person to poke & elbow-scratch because i'm sick & tired of being molested by you. Furthemore i don't want Alex to come bash me up wit a pool stick.

Supplementary to your own birthday wishes, i wish all your bthday wishes & mine for you come true. hahaha :)

blessing in disguise?

Is it not the most stupefying experience to search for your slippers, after you have finished carrying out your nightly prayers @ the mosque, only to discover they are GONE. Yes mind-blowingly superb, magnificent, stupendous, fantastic! Oh goodness i'm running dry of adjectives to describe such a celestial moment of PLAIN FRUSTRATION! Mannn! They were my brother's phat orange-yellow-brown strippy pair! Well initially (when i was in the "moment') i blamed the religious menteri for the tragic lost. Tonight the religious menteri carried out his prayers @ Masjid Annur (cameraman was snapping shots & all...i might appear in a magazine!!! hahaha...bluekk) so the people of the mosque suddenly felt the importance of portraying the right public image. The location where i placed the slippers suddenly seemed unfit for placing slippers when all this while large groups of people simply dump their footwear there & nothing was done about it. So the people conveniently swept away the slippers to the bottom of the stairs. & can any born geniuses tell me the aftermaths of carrying out that action? Well you have multitudes of people scavenging for their respective slippers of course! & maybe...just maybe...a sympathetic individual in the shape of a 17-yr-old teenager might have not even found his slippers! Is that a distinct possibility? OF COURSE! IT HAPPENED TO MEEEEE :'(

But fear not i decided to be optimistic & adopt the "glass is half full rather than being half empty" idealogy to assuage my feelings. Cik Wahab gave me a free ride home on his bike because my mama did not want me to go home on my poor unprotected feet! hahaha actually i did not mind @ all cause i suddenly felt like becoming a village boy & endure the hardship of walking on the harsh cemented terrain muahaha. But what mama say arman do. & she had the odecity to laugh at me & tell Cik Yati it was my 1ST time getting a ride on a bike. hahahaha, okok so it WAS my 1ST time...shoot me. I freaked for the initial 2 seconds & after that i felt like an exhilarated bird. hahaha. DAMN it was fun wit the soothing fast wind blowing in my face & experiencing that subdued adrenalise rush. It kinda stamped my conviction in getting a bike when i'm just a lil bit older! SO maybe...maybee...losing those slippers was a blessing in disguise...hahaha...told you i was optimistic. Nowww...how do i break the news to my bro? *gulp*

Engku Aman Road?...
(T)engku (Shah) A(r)man Road...

i finally got my small 17-year-old ass down to Geylang today & got myself an "exclusively-cut" black baju kurung for Hari Raya 2004. One would visualize me & my family [excluding papa] making a baju kurung purchase @ some traditional & authentically shabby-looking malay clothing store from some ancient-looking malay salespeople. But that was not the case today...hahaha. We were hunting down for a black baju kurung (just for me because the other males in the family can re-use their old ones) @ the Bazaar that opens annually during the whole of the fasting month. We walked & we walked & then we came by this stall. We looked for the owner & rather amusingly, a phat fat ass teenager in street-styled clothings who was armed wit a cigarette in one of his hands & who we later learnt was not fasting greeted us. Oh yes how could i forget to mention. System of a Down's "Chop Suey" was booming @ the background. The dude was friendly enough & showed me this baju kurung that was rather interesting. The top assemble went all the way down just above my knees but has slits @ the sides where the middle portion of my body is. The pants were designed for people wit big thighs OR guys who dig baggy pants...in lesser complex terms it simply translates that those are HIP-HOP PANTS! hahaha. i tell you! Never before have i been so ecstatic about any of my baju kurungs before this! i have in my possession a hip-hop styled baju kurung! hahaha! & before we made our exits he left me wit these beautiful words: "Bro, there are only 300 people who have this baju kurung...you're one of em." :) i like exclusitivity ;)
